Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday attended an iftar party hosted by the armed forces at Senakunja in the Dhaka Cantonment.
A special munajat was offered before breaking the fast.
Earlier, on her arrival at the venue, the premier was received by the Chief of Army Staff Gen M Abdul Mubeen, Chief of Naval Staff Vice-Admiral ZU Ahmed and Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal SM Ziaur Rahman.
Deputy Leader of Parliament Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury, Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Food Minister Dr Abdur Razzaque, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, Shipping Mini-ster Shajahan Khan, Information Minister Abul Kalam Azad, Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad, Bangladesh Ba-nk Governor Dr Atiur Rahman, diplomats and civil and military officials were present.
