A man of Kolaroa upazila of Satkhira district was killed by suffocating in 2010, a case was filed subsequently. His wife Shapla Begum was one of the accused. Now she is in bail and has applied for custody of her two children children Mustak Ahmed and Mustak Hasan. These two children are also witness of the murder case.
In accordance with the directive issued by the court a SI of police went to Pachnol village to know about their condition. The SI of police and his constable was plain clothed, and the villagers thought they were human trafficker. As a result the police members were beaten by the mob. A police vehicle was also vandalized by them.
Local thana has confirmed this incident and commented that the SI should take thana’s help before to avoid this situation. The police members were rescued at night by local thana police.
