Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chaudhry Abdullah Al-Mamun said on Friday that Bangladesh Police is ready to follow the instructions of the Election Commission (EC) to make the upcoming city elections free and fair.
He told reporters after visiting the Mazar Sharif of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) in Sylhet, “The police do not see any challenge in centering the elections to the five municipal corporations. ready for.”
Claiming that the police have enough experience and training to conduct elections, the IGP said that during elections, the police work under the Election Commission. “We will work as per the instructions given by the Election Commission,” he added.
