55 kg of cannabis were seized from bus at Mirpur section 2 by the police. In this connection the driver was arrested as at the time of search only the driver was found.
Police raided the bus that came from Brahmanbaria and recovered the cannabis from specially made ceiling. Narcotics could be kept hidden in that specially made ceiling.
The driver admitted that they had been working for a long time in carrying narcotics over passengers. They operated in transporting cannabis and phensidyl from different border areas using the bus as told by the driver to the police.
