Water sanitation is a great problem in Dhaka city. It becomes flooded with a rain of 2-3 hours. Some of the areas of Dhaka city goes under water. Poor drainage system of City Corporation and lack of awareness among the people are the reason behind this problem. Yesterday I was traveling through the area of ShantiNagar and Fakirapul. I faced a terrible jam in the road. I looked outside the window of Bus. I saw water on the road. People are walking on the road by folding their pant. Some school/college going students were facing real trouble to walk over the road. They would not have mind to walk on water if the water was pure. But we all know that Dhaka city is a polluted city. So, the water is too much bad for human being. These water harms people with different water based diseases. So, people are scared to face this sort of water. The authority takes some temporary steps every year to solve this problem. But they are completely failed to solve this problem. People are disgusted, people are disappointed, people are frustrated but the government is not that smart enough.
