The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has estimated that the country’s population is now 15.05 crore while the world population stands at 700 crore.
The UNFPA put the figure in its World Population Report 2011, which it revealed at Hotel Ruposhi Bangla on Wednesday.
Of the total population in the country, 7.62 crore are male and 7.43 are female.
