If the ruling is not settled within the stipulated time, the case proceedings will continue in the trial court, the Appellate Division noted. The order was passed after disposing of the high court's application for leave to appeal against the order. Then the hearing took place on the rules of the High Court.
Following the order of the Appellate Division, the High Court heard the decision on the question of dismissing the case. After the hearing on August 24 last year, the High Court had fixed the date of verdict as October 19 the same year.
However, the verdict was not delivered on the scheduled date due to reconstitution of the bench. The appeal filed by Pori Moni came on the list of the High Court this Tuesday for a decision on February 22. And accordingly, the High Court gave its verdict today on Thursday.
