Prannoy Verma met the Speaker, laid emphasis on strengthening relations

Outgoing Indian High Commissioner Prannoy Verma has met Speaker of the National Parliament Hafiz Uddin Ahmed.

During the meeting, emphasis was laid on positive and constructive discussions to enhance India-Bangladesh relations, economic cooperation and people-to-people connectivity.

This meeting between the two took place on Monday at the Speaker’s office in the National Parliament.

President Hafiz Uddin Ahmed said that a strong bilateral relationship was established between Bangladesh and India during the Great Liberation War of 1971. The Indian government provided extensive assistance to Bangladesh in the liberation war.
