According to family and party sources, Tufail Ahmed’s mortal remains will be taken to Bhola by helicopter by his family this afternoon. His second funeral prayer (Janaza) is scheduled at 2:00 pm at Bhola Government High School grounds after Zuhar prayers.
The first funeral prayer was held yesterday, Monday evening, at the Taqwa Mosque in Dhanmondi, Dhaka.
After the second funeral, his mortal remains will be taken to his native village Koraliya. After the third funeral prayer at the local mosque complex, he will be laid to eternal rest in the family cemetery, alongside the graves of his parents.
Local residents commented that Tufail Ahmed was not just a politician, he was a symbol of the hopes and aspirations of the people of Bhola. His demise has created an irreparable void in the political and social scenario of the district.
