According to the Sholakia Idgah Management Committee, four-tier security arrangements have been made to ensure the safety of the devotees.
A total of five platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) will be deployed, apart from Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), police, plainclothes police and spies. Apart from CCTV cameras, six watchtowers and drones will be deployed to keep an eye on the ground.
Six ambulances and fire services will be ready round the clock for emergency calls.
Meanwhile, there will also be a bomb disposal unit, the quick reaction team of the police, for security purposes.
Officials said two special trains – both named Sholakia Express – will run on the Bhairab-Kishorganj and Mymensingh-Kishorganj routes to ensure that devotees can attend the country’s biggest Eid Jamaat.
