The Head of State said that technology is now an important part of our lives, which is rapidly changing social life with new innovations constantly coming in.
The President said that using VR technology, people can experience traveling around the world from home, avail medical services from expert doctors and study through distance learning institutes.
President Hamid said, “We have to take the initiative to use technology appropriately in our country now because information technology (IT) can become one of the development tools to build a smart Bangladesh.”
He said that the country needs to ensure proper development of technology by taking various constructive steps including opportunities for advanced training, higher education and basic research.
The President said, “How far we can take the country forward will depend on the innovation and proper use of technology.”
