Primary terminal exam has began

There was a time when Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination was the first public examination for the students of the country.

Later the authority decided that there should be more public examination at class V and class VIII. These exams replaced scholarship examination. Now scholarship is given on the result of junior and primary exams.

These exams are mandatory to get promotion, so all the students of class V & VIII sit for exam. The government is hoping that it will help to improve the quality of education.

Primary terminal examination for the students of class V has started from today. It will end at 29th November. Today’s examination started with mathematics.
About 29.69 lakh students of general education and madrasa education are participating in this examination. This number is higher than the previous year and girl students have outnumbered boy students this year.
