Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday distributed “Ekushey Padak-2024” among 21 eminent persons in recognition of their outstanding contributions in various fields on the occasion of Amar Ekushey and International Mother Language Day.
Acting as the chief guest, the Prime Minister handed over the Ekushey Padak, Bangladesh’s second highest civilian award, at an event organized by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium here.
This year, two persons received the award in the Language Movement category, while one received the award in Documenting the Liberation War, 11 in Crafts (Acting, Music, Singing, Art and Painting), two in Social Service, one in Education and four Received award in language. And literature.
