Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit New Delhi after the general elections in India but the date of the visit has not been decided, Foreign Minister Hassan Mahmood said in his office on Wednesday afternoon.
When asked citing Indian media reports that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit India in the last week of June, the External Affairs Minister said that the Prime Minister will visit India after the general elections in the country.
However, when the travel payments will be made has not been officially discussed between the two countries.
The 18th Lok Sabha elections in India will start from April 19. The Lok Sabha elections for 543 seats are scheduled to end on June 1.
