Probashi Smart Card Fraud: BMET finds solution in changing servers

Monirul Haq, owner of Alif Overseas, is now abroad for treatment. His son Aqib Jabed told Prothom Alo that he had no ability to hack the BTME server and had not even applied for the 24 cards. He suspects that someone associated with BMET might have done this.

A senior BMET official, on condition of anonymity, said the cyber police has been asked to investigate not just the 24 cards but the entire system of fraud. Also, BCC was asked to investigate the server one and a half months ago and submit its findings.

DMP deputy commissioner AFM Al Kibriya said the letter had not yet reached his office. They will consider the issue after the letter arrives in the office.
