Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said on Friday that those who want to obstruct the peaceful elections will be opposed.
After paying homage to the brave freedom fighter Sheikh Jamal, son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, he said, “We will be in the fray till the next elections. Anyone who obstructs free, fair and peaceful elections will be opposed.” On the occasion of his 70th birthday, wreaths were laid on his tomb in the Banani cemetery of the city.
AL Presidium Member Dr Mustafa Jalal Mohiuddin, Information and Broadcasting Minister and AL Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmood, AL Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Naseem, AL Organizing Secretary Ahmed Hussain, SM Kamal Hussain, Mirza Azam and Advocate Afzal Hussain and AL Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Engineer Mohd. Shahabuddin Farazi and others were present.
