He was talking to the media after distributing warm clothes among the people affected by cold in the premises of Bangabandhu Bhawan located at Dhanmondi 32 in the capital.
The Awami League sub-committee on relief and social welfare distributed clothes.
Speaking about BNP’s agitation, Quader said, “You can run an agitation but do not indulge in violent activities in the name of agitation. If you disrupt people’s lives, indulge in arson and terrorism in the name of strikes and blockades – all these will be dealt with strictly.
“People have suffered a lot in this country. You have caused a lot of pain to the people of this country in the name of movements. If you do these wrong things then you will have to face punishment.
“Strong action will be taken – that is our decision,” he stressed.
