Regarding the upazila elections, Quader reiterated that the government wants to ensure that the elections are completely free and fair. There was much gossip and fear about the national election. The apprehensions were dispelled after the national elections as the entire world watched the elections.
Quader said a total of 81 countries and 32 organizations congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and promised to work with Bangladesh.
Awami League presidium member Shahjahan Khan, joint general secretary Hasan Mahmood, Finance Minister Abul Hasan Mahmood Ali, Minister of State for Shipping Khalid Mahmood Choudhary, Organizing Secretary Sujit Roy Nandy and Office Secretary Biplab Barua, among others, were present in the meeting.
