The Rapid Action Battalion has arrested two suspected leaders of a new militant group called Jamatul Ansar Phil Hindal Sharqiya near Kutupalong Rohingya camp in Cox’s Bazar.
Those arrested have been identified as Ranbir, the head of the group’s armed forces division, and his aide Bashar, a ‘bomb expert’.
According to Imran Khan, assistant director of RAB’s legal and media wing, law enforcers have also recovered a cache of firearms and ammunition from them.
