Aminul Islam said Jasmine was first admitted to Naugaon hospital on March 22 when she fell ill after being detained by RAB members. When his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital the same day. Later on March 24, he died while undergoing treatment there.
He said, “Since Jasmine’s son Saikat and I were with Jasmine till her death, the RAB officials wanted to know everything that happened during that period.” “The investigation team took written statements from us.”
However, Jasmine’s son did not say anything to the reporters about his mother’s death.
Earlier, the Rajshahi Police had received the postmortem report of Chameli’s death.
