Rabiul Islam, better known as Aarav Khan, a gold trader in Dubai, is actually an accused in the murder case of Special Branch (SB) Inspector Mamoon Imran Khan of Bangladesh Police.

Concerned police officials said that after the murder of the SB Inspector, Rabiul Islam fled to India and got married there and made a fake passport of that country in the name of Aarav Khan and went to Dubai with him.

Mamoon was murdered on 8 July 2018 in a flat in the Banani area of ​​the capital city. Law enforcement recovered Mamoon’s charred body from a forest in Ghazipur the next day.

After this, Jahangir Alam Khan, the elder brother of the murdered SB Inspector, filed a murder case on Thursday at Banani police station in the capital.

After investigation, the DB Police filed a charge sheet against absconder Rabiul Islam alias Aarav Khan and nine others in the case on March 31, 2019. The trial is currently underway in the court of the First Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge in Dhaka.
