The Prime Minister issued his instructions regarding the proposal on Monday. When asked about the matter, Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Saleh Shibli confirmed this to Prothom Alo.
Regarding the proposal sent to learn about the new energy-efficient street lighting technology, the Prime Minister clarified that in case of such visits, if necessary, the engineers concerned can go, not the administrators.
In the note on the proposal the Prime Minister wrote that if an engineer acquires knowledge in this field, it will be useful for Rajshahi City Corporation. Since the administrator of Rajshahi Municipal Corporation is not an engineer, his visit has no significance. If necessary, only the proposed Executive Engineer (Electrical) can go. Keep in mind that in future, cooperation of BUET and other engineering universities should be taken for such innovative works.
