Raising allegations against former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed of usurping hundreds of bighas of land belonging to the Hindu community of Gopalganj, Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Oikya Parishad general secretary Rana Das Gupta urged Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to visit the area.
He said that people of that area are facing severe economic crisis as the lands of people dependent on agriculture have been usurped.
Rana Dasgupta made the remarks while briefing the media on Friday evening after speaking to the victims and visiting the Gopalganj-based Savannah Eco Resort and Natural Park owned by Benazir and her family members.
