UNB reports that the Chamber Judge of the Appellate Division on Sunday stayed the High Court’s order that granted bail to Awami League Vice President Ghulam Kibria Boro Monir and his wife Nigar Aftab, vice president of Tangail district unit.

The order was passed by Justice M Enayatur Rahim, Chamber Judge, Appellate Division.

It also asked Kibriya, general secretary of the District Bus Minibus Owners Association, to surrender before the lower court within two weeks.

Advocate Yusuf Hussain Humayun appeared for the accused, while Deputy Attorney General Sarwar Hussain Bappi was representing the state.

On April 5, a 17-year-old girl lodged a molestation complaint against Kibria at the Sadar police station.
