Mother and daughter have fallen ill in jail after being arrested on charges of dispute and scuffle with a female police constable in Mohammadpur area of the capital.

This was revealed by relatives after meeting mother Dilara Akhtar and daughter Tasfia Islam in Kashimpur jail of Ghazipur on Thursday afternoon.
Dilara Akhtar’s husband Mafizul Islam is the Deputy General Manager (DGM) at the Topkhana Road corporate branch of state-owned Janata Bank.
He went to jail along with his elder daughter Tanzeela Islam to meet his wife and second daughter Tashfia.
Tashfia is a final year Honors student in the Department of Architectural Engineering at Stamford University.
Tanjila is doing FCPS after completing MBBS.
