The same night, EAM had a virtual meeting with several Bangladeshi diplomats who are currently representing Bangladesh in various countries.
Momen said, “On the occasion of New Year, I had a virtual meeting with Bangladeshi diplomats posted in other countries. There, we told diplomats to act immediately when someone spreads false propaganda and fake information against Bangladesh. He has been given this responsibility, he has to take necessary steps. They cannot sit back and wait for Dhaka’s response.”
When asked about the newly constituted committee, the External Affairs Minister said, “A committee has been constituted under the leadership of the Ministry of External Affairs to prevent the spread and propagation of false information. This committee will work on this issue. They will bring out the real information and bring out the real incident.”
