In response to another question, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that when there is a fascist and authoritarian regime, it becomes isolated and does not have any relation with the people. Once people start protesting, it (government) becomes more aggressive and attacks them.
But it has been proved in history that the protest movement cannot be suppressed by attacks. Its victory is certain, he said.
When asked about his party’s view on the ruling party’s comment that it would not be very easy to oust the Awami League from power, Mirza Fakhrul said, “We do not respond to many speeches of the Prime Minister. Because people don’t really understand from what perspective she says what she says. There is no need to answer them. This will be proved through activities.
