Road in front of Indian High Commission named as Felani Road

Felani_RdCyber activists have named the road in front Indian High Commission in Dhaka as Felani Road. Google map was also showing the road as Felani Road. More than one facebok pages are created demanding this naming. These pages have already got thousands of Likes from facebook users.  Many residents of Dhaka are now calling the 142 number road of Gulshan as Felani Road.

Felani Khatun, a minor Bangladeshi girl was shot dead by BSF in 2011 while she was trying to come back in Bangladesh. Her body was dangling for long time on the fence of barbed wire. This photo created a worldwide outrage.

Later one of the solders involved in shooting was brought on trial in a special court of BSF. But the only accused Amiya Ghosh was released by that court on 6th September. It was condemned by the human right organizations of Bangladesh and India; they said this trial should be under civil court. But later BSF declared that there will be a retrial, but that will be in BSF special court again, not in normal court.
