The budding aviation industry needs skilled manpower, he said, adding “our youth should have opportunities to get trained to become pilots, aeronautical engineers, mechanics, crew members and much more.”
The premier hoped that the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University set up by his government would be able to meet the demand for skilled manpower in the country’s aviation and aerospace industry.
He said the aviation industry has to lead by example in tackling climate change and strive to meet the SDGs.
He also said that de-carbonation and sustainable aviation fuel are subjects that will require investment, concerted action and support from developed aviation countries.
“The aviation partnership offered by the UK and France through Airbus is very important to support us on our journey,” he said.
