To ensure the smooth movement of state officials and dignitaries to the National Memorial in Savar on Victory Day, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has announced temporary traffic restrictions on the Gabtali-Amin Bazar road. The road closure will affect commuters on Monday, from 3:30 AM to 9:30 AM.

During this period, alternative routes have been designated to ensure that traffic continues to flow efficiently, minimizing disruptions for the public. The DMP has provided detailed guidelines for the diversion of traffic:
- Vehicles traveling from Gabtali to Savar and other destinations will be redirected through the Airport Road, passing Abdullahpur Crossing, and continuing along the Ashulia Road.
- Vehicles departing Dhaka from Kalyanpur and Technical Crossing will be rerouted by taking a right turn at Technical Crossing, proceeding through Mirpur 1, and using the Diabari Crossing.
- Vehicles coming from Aricha towards Amin Bazar and headed to Dhaka will be diverted at Nabinnagar Bazar. They will take a left turn, continue through Ashulia, and rejoin the main road.
- Vehicles from Tangail traveling to Dhaka will be redirected through Kaliakoir-Gazipur Chowrasta-Tongi.
The traffic changes are intended to ensure that dignitaries and important officials attending the Victory Day commemorations in Savar can travel without delay. The police have urged cooperation from the public, transport owners, and workers to adhere to these changes to minimize congestion and ensure safety.
While the closures will cause temporary inconvenience, the DMP has reassured that these measures are necessary for maintaining security and facilitating smooth traffic flow in the capital city during the national holiday.
Local authorities have also advised that commuters use public transportation whenever possible to reduce traffic on the rerouted paths. As Victory Day is a time for reflection and national pride, these precautions aim to ensure that citizens can observe the day’s events without unnecessary delays or obstacles.
For those traveling through the affected areas, the DMP has recommended planning ahead and allowing extra time for travel. Commuters are encouraged to follow the traffic signals and police directions, ensuring a safe and orderly experience for everyone.
As the day approaches, the DMP will continue to monitor the situation and may make further announcements regarding any additional changes to traffic management. The police have also requested the cooperation of all citizens to help maintain a smooth flow of traffic during this important national occasion.
