Putin congratulated Bangladesh on its graduation in nuclear energy, saying, “This project has interests of both countries and will make a huge contribution to the energy and economic security of Bangladesh.”
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the ceremony virtually from her official residence Ganabhavan.
Describing Bangladesh as a tried and tested friend and development partner, the Russian President said that relations between the two countries are being established on the basis of mutual equality and respect.
Putin said, Russia and Bangladesh had established their relations in the field of mutual cooperation more than 50 years ago.
