According to the RU sources, the test would be held in four one-hour shifts per day until Tuesday (November 2).

Tribal minorities have 40 seats reserved for them, while another 30 are reserved for disabled students. Five percent of the total seats have been allocated for children of freedom fighters and another five percents for children of university staff.

Talking to BSS, RU Proctor Chowdhury Mohammad Zakaria said that all rallies, processions and traffic have been banned in the campus during the exam hours.

Besides, some 3,000 police personnel would be on duty to maintain law and order. Members of Rover Scout and Bangladesh National Cadet Core (BNCC) would guide the candidates in locating their seats in the exam centres.

Besides, digital screens have been set up at three gates of the campus to help the candidates find their way and close- circuit cameras have been set up to monitor the overall situation in the campus, said the proctor.

The exam schedule and seat arrangements are available on the university’s website www.ru.ac.bd.

Meanwhile, RU Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Abdus Sobhan and Pro- VC Prof Muhammad Nurullah accompanied by others concerned went round different examination halls to see for themselves the situation.
