Another presidium member and agriculture minister Abdur Razzaq said, “The BNP is saying that if the Awami League does not step down it will render the country dysfunctional. “I want to tell you that the more you threaten us, the more organized the Awami League leaders and workers will become.”
Presidium member Mofazzal Hussain Chaudhary Maya said the elections would be held on time and whoever wins will come to power. Those trying to sabotage the elections will be confronted on the streets.
“There is nothing to get so excited about the visa policy,” said Hasan Mahmood, information minister and joint general secretary of AL. Names of opposition leaders are also in the list.
“We don’t care who America grants visas to and who doesn’t,” he said.
AL presidium members Shazhan Khan and Abdur Rahman among others addressed the rally chaired by Dhaka City South AL acting president Nurul Amin. Secretary Humayun Kabir conducted the rally.
