A court on Thursday sent a BNP leader to jail for his involvement in a demolition case in Araihazar upazila of Narayanganj.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam in his statement said that BNP, other pro-democracy parties and dissidents are facing brutal atrocities under the current government. The ruling party is trying to maintain its illegal hold on the power of the state by adopting lies, threats and various tactics.
