Emergency officials said on Sunday that more than 2,000 people had been evacuated from flooded areas of the Primorye region in Russia’s Far East.
Heavy rains have flooded villages in the region, according to Russian state media, which will double monthly rainfall in some areas over the weekend.
“More than 2,000 people, including 405 children, have been evacuated in Primorye,” the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations said on Telegram.
