Businessman Salman F Rahman has urged United Kingdom (UK) businessmen to invest more in Bangladesh’s eco-friendly sectors, including the recycling industry.
Speaking as the chief guest at a high-level roundtable on “Trade, Growth and Partnerships”, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Private Sector Industry and Investment said, “The favorable environment Bangladesh has created for UK entrepreneurial investment may benefit.” A press release was issued on Wednesday by the Bangladesh High Commission, London in Dhaka on Saturday.
In his speech, Salman said that Bangladesh needs huge investment in the recycling industry, especially in the apparel recycling sector.
Referring to environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, which are currently widely discussed around the world, he said Bangladesh has huge scope for long-term investment in ESG risk management and opportunities.
