Rajasthan posted 214-2 after a devastating 138-run partnership for the second wicket between Jos Buttler, who scored 95 off 59 balls, and skipper Sanju Samson, who scored 66 off 38 balls.

Buttler started slowly with his first 20 runs coming off a ball, but soon changed gears to bring up his half-century.

Pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar was denied his century when Buttler was dismissed LBW, but Samson ended the innings in a 17-run over.

In the first match of the day, Hardik Pandya got the better of his elder brother Kunal as holders Gujarat Titans beat Lucknow Super Giants by 56 runs.
