Raghunath Khan, a Satkhira-based journalist who was allegedly picked up by law enforcers, is shown arrested in an explosives case.

Sheikh Obaidullah, chief of the Debhata police station, claimed that Raghunath and two others were arrested with crude bomb-like objects during a raid in Khalishakhali village on Monday evening.

Sub-inspector Lal Chand Miya on Tuesday registered a case against the arrested and 19 unidentified people for allegedly planning the sabotage.

Obaidullah said that Raghunath was sentenced to four years in prison after his arrest with the money during the extortion. The police officer said that the journalist is accused in several cases of extortion and cheating in various police stations of Satkhira.
