“A team from the health ministry in Saudi Arabia has visited Bangladesh twice last year. And they will continue to visit Bangladesh for more recruitment.
The next group to depart for Saudi Arabia will include nurses.
Meanwhile, Khairul Alam, additional secretary of the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment, said, “Kingdom authorities have asked us to send more than 150 trained nurses. Our ministry is now examining the demands, such as where Bangladeshi nurses will be employed, whether they will be employed in government hospitals or private health facilities, etc.”
He said that since the development is new, the government is now preparing mechanisms to streamline the recruitment of doctors.
