BCS, BASIS and ISPAB three large ICT organization organized a special seminar on ICT policy and implementation today at Hotel Sonargaon. This seminar was chaired by state minister of Science and ICT Architect Yafesh Osman. Chairman of national revenue board Dr. Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Executive director of Bangladesh Computer Council Md. Mahfuzur Rahman and Chairman of SME foundation Aftab Ul Islam was also present there as special guest.
Speakers emphasized on lifting tax from software and IT enabled services from next national budget. They also demanded to put advanced income tax on computer, accessories and networking products. Speakers expressed their wish to have a 700 crore taka ICT development fund in upcoming national budget.
BCS president Mustafa Jabbar, Basis President Mahbub Zaman and ISPAB president Akhteruzzaman represented their respective organization in the seminar.
