The Environment Department on Sunday fined seven vehicles and six brick kilns a total of 2.02 million takas in a mobile court drive for polluting the air in Dhaka and two other districts, UNB reports.
As part of a drive against environmental pollution, the drives led by the monitoring and enforcement wing of DOE were conducted at Motijheel, Munshiganj and Chandpur in Dhaka, said a media release from the states’ Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. The press release was signed by Dipankar Bar, Public Relations Officer of the Ministry.
