Shakib Al Hasan’s residence is in Saha Para of Magura city, which comes under Magura-1 constituency. However, he has also received the nomination forms for Magura-2. Magura-2 constituency consists of four unions of Sadar upazila, Mohammadpur and Shalikha upazila.
Biren Shikdar, the sitting Member of Parliament elected four times from this seat, is also in the fray for nomination. Additionally, 16 persons including district Awami League advisor Nuruzzaman, member Kabiruzzaman, joint general secretary Wahidur Rahman, vice president Shafiquzzaman Bachchu and education affairs secretary Qazi Sharif Uddin are seeking nomination.
