Sent in to bat, Barishal made some major changes to his batting line-up.
The reshuffle started from the top as Barishal sent Miraj to open the innings with Andre Fletcher demoting regular opener Anamul Haque.
Miraj justified his promotion by hitting five fours and a six in the powerplay overs to give Barishal a good start.
After the dismissal of Fletcher (12 off 16 balls) in the sixth over, Barishal sent Mahmudullah one-down and not in-form skipper Shakib Al Hasan, who has been in fine form in the ongoing BPL.
This change in the batting line-up also paid dividends as Miraj and Mahmudullah stitched a second wicket partnership of 69 off 46 balls.
Miraj was the aggressor, bringing up his half-century in 35 balls, while Mahmudullah ably supported him from the other end.
