Kamruddin Ahmed, executive engineer of the power plant, said the plant was shut down due to technical glitches, including problems with the gas turbines.
The committee also decided to purchase 60,000 tonnes of urea fertilizer from KAFCO, Saudi Arabia. This will cost the government more than Tk 2.25 billion.
