BNP candidate Mohammad Nasir Chaudhary is leading in Sunamganj-2 constituency (Dirai and Shalla). Jamaat candidate from the assembly constituency Mohammad Shishir Monir has congratulated him.
In a post on his verified Facebook page just before 8:30 pm on Thursday, Shishir Monir wrote, “Congratulations to Paddy candidate Nasir Uddin Choudhary on winning in my constituency. My best wishes to you.”
Nasir Choudhary’s chief election agent Rudra Mizan said he had received results from 88 out of 111 centers by 8:00 pm. In 88 centres, Nasir Chaudhary got 74,289 votes with paddy heaps. His nearest rival, Jamaat candidate Shishir Monir, got 42,467 votes. Nasir Chaudhary is ahead by 31820 votes in 88 centres.
