At the beginning of the ODI series against New Zealand, it did not seem that you would be able to make it to the eleven. Yet you not only played but performed brilliantly. How does it feel?
Noisy Islam: Alhamdulillah. I think I have played an ODI after about one and a half years. Still, I wasn’t supposed to play that match – perhaps that was my destiny. I got the chance just two or three seconds before the game (after Mustafizur Rahman got injured). When I was out of the team, I tried to keep my process right. All our fast bowlers were performing very well, so it became very difficult to get a place in the team or the playing eleven.

Did the confidence gained from ODI translate into your T20 performance?
noise: I was already playing T20 cricket in Pakistan (PSL). Then I moved to a different format. Although the formats are different, in ODIs I focused on maintaining the right line and length, which led to success. T20 is a very small game – you have to correct your mistakes quickly. For example, in the first match of the series I gave away 36 runs. After the game, I reviewed my entire bowling on video in the dressing room. In the next match I tried not to repeat those mistakes.
