Singapore Prime Minister’s Office awards Mohammed Aziz Khan for his outstanding contribution during COVID-19

Summit Group Chairman Muhammad Aziz Khan has received the Public Service Medal from the Prime Minister’s Office in Singapore for his outstanding contribution to society during the pandemic (COVID-19).

According to a press release received on Thursday, Health Minister Ong Ye Kung, on behalf of the Office of the Prime Minister of Singapore, handed over the medal to Aziz Khan at a grand ceremony held at the Singapore Expo.

In 2020, during the first wave of COVID-19, many migrant workers in Singapore, including Bangladeshis, mostly young men, were isolated in dormitories and feared the worst.

Aziz Khan, along with Kasi Vishwanathan Shanmugam, Singapore’s then Minister of Law and Home Affairs, spoke to about 6,000 Bangladeshi workers and contributed to SingHealth.
