Six people died after an ambulance collided with a truck near Padma Bridge toll plaza

At least six people were killed when an ambulance lost control and rammed into a truck near Padma Bridge toll plaza in Sharatpur.

The truck loaded with gas cylinders was on its way to Dhaka. Right behind the truck, an ambulance was also going from Barishal to Dhaka carrying patients and their relatives.

Mohammad Maroof Hasan, ASP, Faridpur Highway Police, said that the accident took place near the Padma Bridge toll plaza in Jazeera around 4 am on Tuesday. Six ambulance passengers died on the spot.
