Somali pirates have made their first contact with the owners of Bangladesh-flagged ship MV Abdullah, nine days after it was hijacked in the Indian Ocean.
The owners confirmed the development to Prothom Alo today.
“The pirates have communicated with us,” Mizanul Islam, media adviser to Kabir Group, which owns the ship, told Prothom Alo this afternoon. Now an atmosphere of discussion is being created.
