The training program is designed to provide participants with insight into South Korea’s advanced pension management practices and administrative strategies, enabling them to drive positive improvements within their system.

A media release said the Korean National Pension Service is the third largest in the world, managing $800 billion in assets, and is equipped with state-of-the-art systems for the safe and accurate management of national pensions.

An orientation was organized for five high-level officials of the Finance Division at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Sunday by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to enhance capacity building for effective management of the country’s National Pension Scheme. The target to bring citizens above the age of 18 under pension coverage was announced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina earlier this month.
